AGMA FTM 2021 Call for Papers

03 Nov,2020

Technology is fundamentally changing the way manufacturing is done. The gear industry is faced with emerging trends and innovation that is challenging engineers to stay in course with cutting-edge technology to keep design, quality, materials and analysis efficient. It is imperative that researchers and gear engineers communicate ideas with fellow experts in the field. AGMA’s annual Fall Technical Meeting (FTM) is the perfect forum in which to share research and to disperse knowledge for the benefit of the industry at a global level.

Each year, authors selected by AGMA write peer-reviewed technical papers on topics relevant to the gear industry. These may include subject matter related to: design and analysis; manufacturing and quality; materials, metallurgy, and heat treatment; operation, maintenance, and efficiency; and gear failure. The authors then present the results of their work at the FTM to an audience of knowledgeable engineering professionals from the United States and around the world. During a question and answer period at the end of each session, authors and attendees are able to exchange their ideas. AGMA encourages gear industry experts and professionals to submit a paper. Papers should be on relevant technical subjects, original to the AGMA audience (not a paper that has been previously published in its submitted form), technically accurate, and free of commercialism. All papers presented at FTM will be indexed in Scopus, the international database of peer-reviewed literature. The submission deadline is January 15, 2021. FTM 2021 will take place in Rosemont, Illinois from November 1-3, 2021.
